Philosophy
We compose perfumes like buildings — first the structure, then the light.
Founded in 1978 between Paris and Grasse, Velar began with a simple rule: no scent should shout. A great perfume occupies only the air around skin and returns when you move. The bottle is heavy glass, the label barely there. The material is the perfume — not the decoration.
Material
Stone, skin, air. Cedar from Atlas, incense, white musk — always dry, never sweet.
Craft
Composed in Grasse, macerated for weeks, bottled by hand.
Silence
Close sillage, long memory. A scent told before it is smelled.
Atelier
Grasse — where stone smells at noon
Not lavender fields, but limestone. Terre was composed there, between figs and the silence.
